8 Months

Our Baby Boy~

We've had a lot of new things this month, it's been one right after another, time is going way to fast.  Every time I order diapers it's a new size and every time that box is empty it is refilled with clothes that no longer fit.  Currently in size 3 diapers until the end of this box then onto the 4's that arrived today.  You cut your first tooth on August 15th, 2012, easy peasy...hardly a wimper out of you for the first tooth, thennnn about a week ago week ago, you didn't want your bottle, were waking up all the time, and just a little uncomfortable throughout the day.  We know you are in so much pain and it is soooo heartbreaking.  We are fighting this teething pain though and trying to make you as comfortable as possible with teething rings, tablets, motrin, and baby orajel!!  Seeing you sad or upset is the worst.thing.ever.

Today you weighed 19.5lbs which I am not sure is too accurate and were 29-ish inches long.  We lowered your crib and put your bumper back in, hopefully this will help keep your extremities inside the crib and your head from hitting the rails.  Got your own bath all set up and bathe you in there now with all your duckies.  You absolutely love bath time and splishing and splashing  You can sit on your own, it's awesome and so cute, you can also pull up from a sitting position to standing super fast, and you are also pulling up on everything and climbing sort of.  You roll all over the place, including down the hall to end up in the laundry room, then you scream cuz you're stuck!  We found your tickle spot in between those meaty rolls on the thighs, it's sooo funny!!!

I packed up all of your 6 month clothes and any 3 and 3-6 month stuff still hanging around.  You are wearing 9 and 12 month clothing now.  Nona got you a whole new fall/winter wardrobe so we have all of those washed and hung, can't wait to show the latest fashions!  It's amazing to me how fast you are going through clothes!!  You are eating about 5 things of food a day!  We try to mix it up as much as possible, but on average you get a oatmeal-ish jar in the morning with your bottle, then a protein and fruit at lunch with a bottle, a bottle around 4pm, and then a protein and a veggie for dinner, followed by bath time, then bottle, then bed time :)  In Richmond we even found mac-n-cheese baby food, I might be sharing that with you one of these days!!  You talk all the time, I am obsessed with your voice.  We still bring you in the bed with us in the mornings, this is one of our favorite times, and a few times you have even slept in there for a few hours :)

You love your toys, like constant entertainment which sometimes means TV!  Yo Gabba Gabba is a favorite and has now been downloaded on our IPads and Daddy's Iphone for emergency situations like 6 hours car rides.  You took your first trip to Hatteras, we went with Gma Debs and Gpa Mike.  It's amazing how different you were at the beach this month compared to last.  Sitting on your own allowed you to play in your pool without being held and you were able to sit on the sand, attempt to get sand in your mouth, and splash the water as the waves crashed on the shore.  You love walks and being outside.  This month on one of our walks we stopped by the play ground and you went on a swing, you loved it, so yes we are buying one to put under the deck.  Nona also came up and spent a week with you, you are such a loved little grandbaby!

You are such a cool little dude.  Have such a calm and relaxed temperament.  Such a cuddle bug and love snuggle time.  I think you might have caught on that mommy comes in and gets you when you start screeching and you come to bed with us, whoops!  I am so so thankful you have been a good sleeper and are continuing to sleep through the night (with the exception of the past week teething problems), but I am even more greatful that every now and then you wake up and give us the chance to snuggle and will always cherish those memories especially when you are too big to fit in my lap :(

Our absolute favorite from this month is that you reach out for us.  OMG to die for.  You totally 100% know I am your mom and when I walk into the room your face lights up.  When you are sitting on the floor you put your arms up for us to pick you up...this might just be the best feeling ever!!  I can't believe it's been 8 months since you came into our lives, I still get the feeling I have known you forever and then like we just met.  We have done so much, the three of us, we try to pack in as much fun and experiences as possible as we know these times are passing way to fast.  We have had an absolute blast having you on our little team, can't wait to see what comes next, and loving every step and change along the way.

We love you so so much!!

Love,

Momma and Dada
